25th Annual Live Austin Magic Auction, April 17th & 18th, at the First Baptist Church in downtown Austin.    Our web site should become operational in November, but we will begin to list numerous items that will be auctioned from the stage in January.  The auction is being held in April and not February so as not to conflict with the Lone Star Magic Auction in Ft. Worth.  The Austin Magic Auction is still the oldest and best magic auction in the United States.  Contact:  Ron Cartlidge, chairman, texashoudini@msn.com

ASSEMBLY 206'S STAGE COMPETITION IS SLATED FOR THE ROLLINS THEATRE NEXT SPRING.  Our next competition already has a new home, the brand new Rollins Theatre at the Long Center.  We had to cancell the September date because of a festival near the venue on the date that we had booked.  We are currently looking for a May date at the same theater.

PREVIEW OF AUSTIN MAGIC MAGAZINE is hot off the press.  Each person who attends the T.A.O.M. convention in Fort Worth will receive a copy of this fine magazine.  Being a preview issue, the magazine is only eight packed pages.  The twice-a-year magazine will see its first issue in September and the second should come in the Spring.  $10 subscription rates for the hard copy is available at austinmagicmagazine.com.
